Yes, hello. The Howling Timelord here. I just want to take this moment to shout you all a quick hello and hope that you hang around for a little while so I have time to build this who Doctor Who and Coffee themed website up.
Why the combination? How on earth can I pull two completely different topics - the Timelord and a hot beverage known as Coffee the world over, together?
Truthfully, I don't really have a clue at this point. All I do know is that those 2 things are my biggest loves in life. After my Kids of course. Oh, and I suppose I'd best say the wife too in case she ever takes her own peek at this blog.
I started my love of Doctor Who in the Tom Baker days. He was as batty as hell and I loved his ramblings. I even got my mother to knit me a scarf like his and I'd wear it all the time. It was also at that time I became fearful of the Cybermen and I'd rush and hide behind the couch whenever they came on screen. Hey, come on, I was only 6.
Coffee never became a love until my teens. Despite my terrified reaction to the Cybermen, my parents wouldn't feed me coffee at that age despite me needing something to get over my shocks. Vodka was fine - but Coffee was out of the question until my mid teens. And you know what? I absolutely hated it at first. I really did.
But, living in a house of coffee lovers, I was never too far away and I eventually had a cup that seemed to hit the sweet spot deep inside. Come on. You know what I'm talking about. Not only did I get a great caffeine hit but embarked upon a journey through life that even to this day, consumes me as I put on an episode from DVD of Doctor Who - I need a coffee when those Cybermen come on screen. Grrr. Hate them.
Anyway, this was just a quick hello and once again, I hope you stick around and enjoy the rubbish I like to spout!
